STONE SCULPTURES by SUSAN FARRICIELLI
I am relatively new to stone. I was supposed to apprentice to Gio Pomodoro in Italy when I was 19 years old, however, I did not get to realize that until 25 years later when he invited me to work with him at the studio of Giorgio Angeli in Querceta, Italy. When I got there, however, he was ill from a brain tumor and died a few months later. I never did get to work with Pomodoro, but I remained at the Studio and learned about carving stone from the artisans and other artists who were there.
